WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Embry-Riddle has the privilege of hosting the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) Region II Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference (SAFECON) from Sunday, November 11th - Saturday, November 17th. The airport and surrounding airspace will be impacted for select days.
WHAT WILL BE AFFECTED?
From Sunday, November 11th-Saturday, November 17th, there will be non-standard markings on 21R and 3L.
21R/3L RUNWAY CLOSURE and TAXIWAY ALPHA/BRAVO CLOSURE
Sunday, November 11th from 0800-1700
Monday, November 12th from 0800-1700
Thursday, November 15th from 0830-1630
Friday, November 16th from 0830-1330
**Twy B4 will remain open for access to the Bottleneck Hangars and Self-Serve Fuel.
Please be mindful of decreased airport capacity in the traffic pattern. In the event of un-forecast weather, these dates may change and NOTAMs will be updated ASAP to reflect these changes.
INCREASED LOCAL AREA TRAFFIC
Due to a navigation competition, there will be a significant increase in local area traffic on Wednesday, November 14th.
NORTH RAMP USAGE
For the duration of the competition, there will be a significant volume of vehicle, aircraft and personnel on the North Ramp in addition to a tent that will be placed on the ramp. Self-Serve Fuel will continue to be available. Please be cautious while operating on the North Ramp.
